Local Waste Services, Ltd. proudly serves the residents of Clinton Township. Upon move-in, you will need to contact Local Waste Services, Ltd. to set up service. Local Waste directly bills township residents. Need a recycling bin? You can pick that up at 3820 Cleveland Ave., free of charge.

Service Guidelines

• Please have your materials out by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled pick up day.
• Please place materials in bags or containers – do not exceed 50 lbs.
• Bulk items and additional material will be collected at the same time as all other items - contact Local Waste Services, Ltd. for additional guidelines
• Any upholstered items (including mattresses and box springs) must be wrapped in plastic.
• Brush must be tied in bundles not exceeding at 4ft. x 2 ft. with branches 2 in. or less in diameter.
• Please have yard waste in biodegradable brown paper bags or in containers that are clearly marked.
• Yard Waste Only’ - stickers are available at the municipal building, 3820 Cleveland Ave.
• Place yard waste a few feet away from other materials to identify easier, as it will be collected separately on the same day.
• “Missed” materials must be reported within 24-hours of the normal pickup day.
• Please contact our office for collection of Freon based appliances ($100.00 disposal fee per item).

Recycling Policy

• All recyclable materials are collected weekly with no additional fees.
• Do not bundle or bag materials – place loosely in bins.
• Plastic grocery bags are NOT accepted – please return to grocery store.
• Window glass and glass dishes are NOT recyclable.
• Find places to recycle almost anything!

Bulk items and Furniture

• Bulk items will be collected at the same time as all other materials – contact our office for additional guidelines

• Any upholstered items (including mattresses and box springs) must be wrapped in plastic.
• For bulk piles, we require a photo of all four sides of the items properly prepared and neatly placed together.
• Please contact our office for collection of Freon based appliances ($100.00 disposal fee per item). These items must be prepaid and scheduled before their normal service day.
• Any glass objects we ask to have covered in tape to prevent residual shattering and for the driver’s safety.
• All loose materials need to be bagged, boxed, or bundled weighing no more than 50lbs.
• Empty boxes should be broken down and placed inside another cardboard box to be serviced with recycling.

Other great reminders for our residents:

• Please have your materials out by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day.
• Missed materials must be reported within 24-hour of normal pickup day.
• If a holiday falls on or before your collection day, service is delayed one day, that week only.
• If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday there will be NO change in your scheduled pick up day.

Optional Residential Wheeled Carts for Rent

• 95-gallon carts available for rent at $3.00 per mo. / $9.00 billed quarterly.
• 65-gallon recycling carts available for rent at $3.00 per mo. / $9.00 billed quarterly.

Payment Terms

• $19.99 mo. + current fuel charges / billed quarterly.
• Payment is due 30 days from the statement date; at which time a $3.00 late fee is applied.
• Bills that remain unpaid for 60 days may be subject to additional penalties.
• Senior Discount of 10% - must be 62 years or older & head of household (mail copy of ID & utility bill).
• Local Waste Services accepts MasterCard, Visa, and Discover (credit / debit) & direct debit.
• There is a $1.99 processing fee for all payment methods
